The Emerson Gentleman Jim is one of our skinnier, sleeker models. With a 3.75 inch blade, it sports elegance and simplicity. As Mr. Emerson says, “Picture fine whiskey and pretty ladies. The Gentleman Jim would be right at home.” It is the perfect pocket carry for a true gentleman looking for an everyday carry that's a little more on the elegant side. Available in both stonewashed and black blades.

The Gentleman Jim is the best knife I have ever owned–bar none!!! If I could have only one knife it would be the Gentleman Jim. I have a tool drawer full of knives but the GJ is what I carry every day. The only downside is the price, but to me the knife is worth it.
I’ve been carrying this knife for several years. The blade shape is just right for me, slender tip and drop point. Very easy to keep sharp. I love the wave feature make for a dependable easy one hand open and the blade lock position makes for easy one handed closing. And there’s no springs or torsion bars to break or get weak. Oil the pivot point occasionally.
Super sleek, super strong. Great EDC dagger for self-defence.

This is my favorite of all 3 Emerson’s that I own it has a perfect grip it opens great blade is very!! Sharp great edc thank you
Really love this one. It seems like a very small knife in the pocket, but it's very large when deployed. It's perfect for stabbing, but it doesn't have that “dagger” appearance that could put it in the grey area of the law in a lot of states. Definitely slices very well.
The lock up on mine is pretty good, I had to tweak the positioning of the liners to get it perfect though. Detent is great unlike other Emerson designs because the blade is so light. It should pass any reasonable shake test. I did take a little fine grit sandpaper to the scales to stop them from tearing up my pockets.
Not the smoothest opener in the world, but after a couple months of break in period I can get it to flick open pretty reliably with the thumb disk.
Overall a fantastic EDC.
