Talk about a design that has been there and done that. Few knives could challenge the Emerson Commander. Let me introduce the Emerson XHD (Extra Heavy Duty) Commander model. This “battleship” version features a heavy duty blade that is .156 in. thick and ground from S35VN steel to a razors edge. The liners are built from .093 thick 6AL4V titanium with a replaceable lock insert. The Knife also features an extra thick, high rise, grooved titanium backspacer for super rigidity and strength.
