I love storms. I love the awesome fury of nature unleashed, and I really love thunderstorms, so here's something I know you're going to love too. For those of you who prefer something other than a stonewashed finish blade, we developed the brand new finish called the Emerson Thunderstorm Finish™. If you've ever seen a real crash-boomer, thunderstorm coming across the Plains with those dark blue-gray-black clouds, so foreboding, and dangerous looking and said to yourself – this is not going to be fun, then you'll know that feeling and exactly what I'm talking about. Well, we've got all of that in our new Emerson finish and that's the very reason we called it the Thunderstorm Finish™. It reminded us of a thunderstorm and those dark dangerous thunderstorm clouds.
This finish is an alternative to the all-black finish that we produced and provided over the years and it's in between the stonewash and the coated black finish. It's a non-glare, surface that is just really quite attractive. That's about all I can say about it. I fell in love with it and it's on the knife that I now carry in my pocket and just to boot, it's also scratch-resistant and it won't show wear and tear like the black coated blades do over time. It's subdued, very attractive, durable and it's dark and foreboding. It looks great against any color handle that we put on it and I know you're going to love it on the knife you choose, so let's get ready to rumble and get ready for the launch of Emerson Knives with the new Thunderstorm Finish™. I woke last night to the sound of thunder. How far off I sat and wondered …

Bravo!!! love these knives. What i can sure about them that these are highly durable and long lasting. will definitely try them.
Love this finish! Never liked the straight black due to fairly easy marring but this seems much more durable with an extra visual appeal. Nice move!
I have a 25th anniversary Raven B in this finish and I love it. It seems very hard and durable. Hopefully it will be a standard offering.
