Outstanding piece of equipment and funtions flawlessly. Be careful using it is extremely sharp .. no incidents here but easy to see how even the slightest loss of attention on the users part could result in an issue .

Bought the black karambit combat flipper at blade show in Atlanta. This knife is lightweight yet strong and well designed. I love it.

The Emerson Karambit has amazingly smooth deployment with a solid locking mechanism, excellent grip ergonomics and non-slip feel. The blade is extremely sharp and the knife is very lightweight. I would highly recommend making this knife your EDC/all purpose utility and defense knife!

This is without question the best knife currently in production at Emerson Knives. I carry it in my left pocket as defense against a gun grab, where you can easily sever the tendons of your attackers gun grabing arm with a simple rake. The wave actually works perfectly on this knife. On the current CQC7 the wave results in unwanted opening of the knife and severe cuts to your hand during the draw cycle. The combat Karambit wave feature does not suffer from the CQC7 wave design defect.

This is my absolute go to folding knife. It fits my hand well, action is very smooth. I prefer the flipper model over the standard combat karambit. It is an amazing knife

If I could give Emerson knives 100 stars I would. I am always amazed at the unbelievable craftsmanship in Emerson knives products. The Emerson Karambit is no exception. I bought two and have a CQC7 as well that has lasted me FOREVER. Emerson’s USA made spectacular products should remind us all that the junk made by companies like Apple and others overseas does not have to be that way. We should have higher expectations, and Emerson knives sets the example.

I really appreciate the many ways I can open this knife – wave (reverse carry of course), thumb hole, or flipper. I practice obsessively each way (I can't help it lol). If there are any cons about the the knife, I only wish I had two!

I've just recently bought this along with the black lanyard with the skull and it's fantastic! Friends have noticed it and are thinking about getting one! Multiple ways of opening it. Wish it had a serrated option, but overall, it's fantastic!
