The OBS blade was my introduction to Emerson knives. It is big, overbuilt, and unapologetic. Lock up is excellent and the action was smooth the first time I used it. I have had to work through some lock stick, but I’m pleased overall. I’m truly happy to be a part of the Emerson and the OBS family.

In 2012 I purchased my OBS. Carried it with me everyday until August of 2019, when it was stolen. This piece of fine craftsmanship never let me down, cut through anything put in front of it and even got beat with a hammer to drive through a tough piece of wood.
The edge geometry is excellent, I used to sharpen mine on the bottom of a porcelain coffee cup.
Cannot wait to replace it!! Hope the scoundrel that stole mine cuts his fingers off with it!!
