This beautiful knife is absolutely beautiful! Perfect fit, feel! It’s my third Emerson knife, so I was confident that it would be great. Purchasing was easy, and shipping was fast!!! The guys at Emerson are the best in the business!!

Perfect

I've owned probably a dozen or more CQC models over the last three decades. This latest CQC-7A is the best yet. Lockup, finish, edge are all excellent. In fact the last three Emerson knives I have purchased are the best I've seen. Quality control and consistency keeps getting better. Thank you Emerson Family!

The finishing is nicely done. The grip texture is super aggressive, provides a secure grip but eats pockets and collects lint and skin like it’s its job.
The design is very right handed the thumb stud is only accessible with the right hand and the chisel ground blade really only works when used in the right hand, but provides a much tougher design than my previous pocket knives.
First and foremost, this is a super tough fighting knife that happens to fold. That can to do most of the other pocket knife things like cutting reinforced bands, zip ties and cardboard.
This knife more of a specialized tool, If you need a knife you can stake your life on to hold up when you need it, as a weapon, for rough work when your hands are wet or oily and for poking and prying that would break most pocket knives I can’t think of a better tool. But don’t expect it to do everything your current flat or hollow ground pocket knife does well.

Awesome knife

This is exactly what it says on the box - a hard-use knife. No frills, well-built, no BS. Love it.

CQC-7A

I own a variety of Emerson Knives, to include an A-100, CQC-7B and a Pancho Villa among others. Some I have gifted to my sons and friends who are police officers. They are most excellent knives. However, I ordered a CQC-7 and while using it, to open a health food product enclosed in a plastic tube with a very light plastic seal and after opening a few - 5 to 6, the point of the knife began to fold over. Though, a slight fold, it was still disconcerting. I have used my other Emersons to perform the same function with no problem. I'm very disappointed even though it is a minor situation.
Thank you.

These are the toughest knives I’ve ever used. If you break one…well then you were using it in a manner that was beyond the acceptable limit of an already bulletproof EDC.

I had one of these in the early 2000s. It followed me into the military from years of use as a civillian. I was young and bored so I spent a lot of time intentionally beating on this knife- to the point of one day slamming it on the concrete over and over unable to damage it. I had other knives, to include emersons, that I favored. When my partner on duty realized that I was indeed trying to destroy it, he said it was too nice of a knife to destroy, so I gave it to him and he took it to Iraq. He probably still has it. This knife is indestructible.

I received my First Emerson knife from USCCA as a joining member! It is the Best flip knife I've ever owned! I enjoy the "wave" feature the most, a Well Designed CQC made knife! I know of no other that offers the "wave" feature, which is a game changer on its own! I will be purchasing another as soon as I can. And, you get what you pay for. Well Done Emerson, I would promote no other for EDC!!! Keep up the great work!!!!!
