Yangtze Jack

Slim and sleek; those are the words that I would use to describe the Emerson Yangtze Jack.

Why did I name it the Yangtze Jack? Because when I designed the knife, for some reason, it immediately popped into my head a movie that I had seen many, many years ago starring Steve McQueen called the Sand Pebbles.Back in the 1920s the United States Navy gunboats patrolled the Yangtze River in an effort to protect the civilian population, Chinese civilians and Western civilians, who were working in China, from being harmed during the conflict between Nationalist Chinese leader, Chiang Kai-Shek, and Chinese tribal war Lords.

So, the US Navy was sent there. They patrolled the Yangtze River. And when I designed this knife, it had a definite far-Eastern look to it. The movie popped into my head. It took on the Yangtze River, and I called it the Yangtze Jack.

It's got a nice slim three and a third inch long blade and the overall length is 7.9 inches. When it's closed, it's 4.5 inches long. It's a perfect pocketknife and the design is really very efficient and minimalist. With that style blade you'll be able to use it for a myriad of uses. It's a wonderful little knife that feels great in the hand and I'm sure you're going to like it. The Yangtze Jack, the latest model from Emerson Knives.

Perfect little EDC, especially if you want to skip the wave feature for mixed company.

Ive always been a larger edc guy but I rolled the dice and got the Yangtze Jack. It is a super unique knife in design and blade. Feels great in the hand, good weight, ad super sharp! Has an old school yet modern feel to it. If your looking for a light yet solid edc give it a go. This and the A100 are excellent options in this department.

This knife is obviously on the smaller side but it is a perfect carry to have something so light and clean in your pocket.

Wow !!! Is all I can really say. Definitely worth the purchase price and more. You have to hold this knife for yourself to understand but it’s different, slim, sleek accurate words to describe it, but it’s different and I can’t do justice describing it but I absolutely love it, work of art and literally melts in your hands, this thing is like a super huge blade in a smaller package that feels and handles anything but small, guts, pure guts is what this is, amazing!! Thank you Mr. Emerson.
One last note, smaller and definitely pocket friendly, but on the flip side, bigger and not small at all. I love it !!
