This knife is absolutely my favorite among all of the Emerson knives I own! It fits great in the hand and is strong and robust enough to do what you need it to do! It has been with me on several deployments overseas, which in fact is the reason I bought it! This is by far my favorite, thank you Emerson!!!

I don’t understand why this knife didn’t get more love. It’s not a small knife and is big enough to do what you need but so huge as to be hard to carry in your pocket or tucked in your waist band. The blade shape is surprisingly versatile and offers I think a bit more versatility than a Roadhouse or CQC-7, both of which I have and love by the way. It feels like a more sophisticated version of those two knives. The primary and secondary edges carry a very subtle curve making this practical in terms of use and a bit easier to sharpen. Ergos are fantastic, almost like a mutant CQC-7, and I mean that in the best possible way. The ETAK is comfortable and stable in all grips and actually does better than you would think in Drawpoint/point-driven formats. I know it is presented as a combat knife, and it would excel in that role, but it is a hell of a worker and for me EDC. Feels good having it on you. This is one of my favorites and it is the one I grab when I go out the door.
